Spacious Luxemotor Dutch Barge - Excellent Layout & Great Potential Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Beluga, a characterful Luxemotor offering generous and comfortable accommodation, combined with an ideal size for cruising. With excellent headroom, versatile living spaces and a classic interior, Beluga provides a wonderful opportunity to create a stylish and spacious floating home. Entry is via the large wheelhouse, home to the vessel’s traditional navigational controls. This bright space offers panoramic views and works well as either a dining area or second lounge. Forward steps lead to a cosy lounge and a galley with ample storage. From this area: a door opens to a comfortable double cabin, another leads to the shower room, fitted with shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin A second stairway from the wheelhouse leads to a spacious aft double cabin, complete with built-in storage and wash basin. There is room to fit an additional shower and toilet if desired, adding great flexibility to the layout. Throughout the boat there is 2 metres of headroom, with 10 radiators powered by a Kabola diesel boiler, ensuring comfortable year-round living. The impressive engine room (also with 2m headroom) contains: Gardner 8-cylinder, 120hp diesel engine, Kabola heating boiler, workbench ∕ workspace, Mastervolt electrical system, 24v and 220v wiring. Additional features include a 50hp bow thruster and a tender with 8hp outboard, lifted via davit behind the wheelhouse. Beluga provides excellent outdoor space, with a generous deck area in front of the wheelhouse - perfect for a table and chairs, alfresco dining, or relaxing on warm summer evenings. Beluga is now a project and has been priced to reflect the works required, including: full external repaint, internal refresh and update, servicing of both the engine and Kabola boiler, likely need for a new battery bank Despite this, she remains a beautiful vessel with a strong structure, plenty of space, and exceptional potential. Shortened in Holland during the 1990s, Beluga is wider than most barges of this length, offering significantly increased living space while still maintaining economical running costs. She was last dry-docked in 2018. Beluga is situated in a popular village with excellent local amenities. Within walking distance you’ll find general store, restaurant ∕ diner, bus terminus with routes to nearby towns. The wider area offers: schools, doctors, dentist and chemist, local shops, takeaways and restaurants, swimming pool and leisure centre. Beautiful river and countryside walks nearby. Commuters benefit from fantastic transport links: A2 ∕ M2 reachable in under 10 minutes - ideal for London or the coast, Strood railway station nearby, offering high-speed services to London (approx. 40 minutes).
